Bring your burdens to the Lord,
And learn to leave them there.
So the Word teaches us to be anxious in nothing.
Casting all our cares upon Him, for He doth care.
It’s easy to bring those weights to our Father,
But truly leaving them there is a whole other story.
But alas when we finally do,
Truly, it’s a time of joy and unspeakable glory.
For God is righteous and steadfast leaving nothing to chance,
If we’ll trust Him like we say we do.
The Lover and Keeper of our souls always present to help,
The immovable anchor of our souls, His word, ever so true.
Eternally thankful the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us,
Never having to worry about how we can get to Jesus.
He said He would never leave nor forsake us,
He’s the Holy One of Israel, our God the righteous.
The enemy constantly striving to keep us in fear,
Wanting us to worry and be anxious; in a state of unrest.
But if we, like the widow He spoke of in Luke 18,
Will keep coming by faith, that burden from us He will wrest.
Because our God is faithful and cannot lie,
His love which He proved is, without a doubt, beyond measure.
If we’ll stay the course and faint not,
Freedom from all oppression He gives us and we treasure.
Oh what a mighty God we serve Who does such wondrous things,
It’s hard for our minds to comprehend such love.
Because as much as we may strive to understand it,
In the end, we simply smile, rejoicing, knowing it’s from above.
The lesson to be learned here not an easy one,
The enemy sending storms and trials to bury us in despair.
But God Who declared the end from the beginning,
Says, “I’ve got this My child.”, your troubles are fastened to the cross with a nail; so there.
