Devil I’m Putting You on Notice

Devil I’m putting you on notice,

I’m not giving up this fight.

No matter what you do,

My God is always right.

You may knock me down,

And blindside me from time to time.

But rest assured my trust is in God,

Just know that God’s strength is mine.

You see I’ve already read,

This battle for my soul you have lost.

Any chance you ever had,

Jesus nailed it to the cross.

And no matter how desolate things may seem at times,

Or how hopeless at times it may appear.

I have this confidence in my Lord,

That He will deliver me through all doubt and fear.

See you must rage and rant and threaten,

Trying to cause doubt and crush my will.

But the Word of God offers me a simple solution,

Which is to trust Him and just stand still.

No storm, nor threat, nor health problem,

Or impending financial disaster.

You may send my way will thwart me,

Because it’s Jesus I follow after.

It must be a defeating thought,

To know you have lost before the fight began.

Kudos to you for trying hard though,

By the faith of God you will not defeat this man.

Notice has been served on you,

Oh how I wish you would just quit trying.

When this war is over through Christ I shall live,

And it is you that will do the dying.
