To all those who have and will,
Offer their lives in sacrifice for our freedom,
We owe you a debt of gratitude words won’t satisfy.
Facing danger like us in our comfort,
Can’t even begin to comprehend,
You are the apple of this great nation’s eye.
Leaving the comfort of family, friends and home,
Giving your self for those you’ve never met,
Traveling to lands of imminent threat.
So many of us not even consciously aware,
Day to day of who and where you are,
Paying the price of freedom’s debt.
Courage like no other indeed,
Your bravery defining what this nation is,
Not for pay, nor recognition or selfish reward.
God bless you for your unselfish valor,
With no guarantee of making it home,
Honor where honor is due to you we humbly afford.
A tribute, a salute, a monumental memento this is,
To you, our heroes who have and do stand,
The line of freedom is you our enemies dare not sever.
With mighty love, affection and tears of gratitude,
Our heart ever with your heart American Soldier,
May the memory of what you’ve done stand forever!
