You may find this to be quite a surprise my friend,
But if you’ll search the scriptures, you’ll see it’s true.
The only thing, and I mean the only thing that moves God,
Is the faith that He sees acted out in you.
God does take pity on us as a father does his child,
The bible teaches us this in Psalm 103.
But not pity, nor tears, nor excuses or sad stories,
Will ever get God to move for you and me.
The Lord of heaven and earth is only moved by one thing,
And that is the faith His Word does cement.
Like the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years,
Did all she could do and then, by faith, touched the hem of His garment.
So many times we read, according to thy faith be it unto thee,
And in every case, God multiplying what we, by faith, give.
The Lord is not looking for religion in His people,
But the righteousness which is by faith He expects us to live.
The book of Romans states “whatsoever is not of faith is sin”,
So why do we wonder when nothing else works.
Because anything that is not by faith we might take credit for,
And that my friend is where danger and the devil lurks.
It’s ok to cry, to feel pity and to get down sometimes,
We all feel doubt and suffer through uncertain despair.
The devil bombarding us with negative and condemning thoughts,
Trying to convince us that God really doesn’t care.
However, the faith of God doesn’t rely on our human emotions,
It says “yes God can” no matter the circumstance.
The hardest part for us humans is to learn to wait, by faith, on God,
Knowing that He doesn’t leave anything to chance.
So should you ever find yourself with your back against life’s wall,
With absolutely no way to escape the impending situation.
Lift up your eye of faith to heaven my friend,
Because God’s Word can never fail that expectation!
