Bring your troubles to the feet of Jesus,
And leave them there for good.
Quit trying to carry the burdens,
That with your best effort, you never could.
Stay your fancy speeches,
And the best of rehearsed words.
Just pour your heart out like water,
And for sure the prayer will be heard.
But let your conscience be your guide,
And whatever troubles it, confess.
Tell Him your faults and worries,
And the Lord will save you from distress.
Remember He already knows your heart,
And nothing is hid from His sight.
All He wants is for you to admit it,
And be sorry for not doing what’s right.
Put your heart in His hands,
And He will meet your every need.
Seek His face every day,
And to His word take heed.
For that which the Lord desires for you,
Is life and health to your soul.
He is on your side to protect you,
If you’ll trust Him, He will make you whole.
And the very best part of it all,
Besides being delivered from heartache and strife.
Is that Jesus will give you what no one else can,
And that, my friend, is everlasting life!
