Somewhere between the end of all your efforts,
And the impossibilities of what you are trying to achieve,
Lies the power of God to prove to you that He can do what you can’t.
This is just one of the many ways He proves He is God,
Be thankful because otherwise how would you know,
Suddenly, it seems, He will be there when all the while He seemed so distant.
You see our God is a faith God and it’s the only thing that pleases Him,
If you don’t believe me then by all means read Hebrews 11 verse 6,
He does the things with our best effort we never could.
And don’t get upset or frustrated or bitter by any means,
Because by waiting till the very last minute to meet that need,
God is building our faith to trust Him more like we should.
Let us not forget that He is our Father in heaven,
The Lord is our Shepherd and we shall not want,
Meaning to want for anything at all that we ever should need.
He’s the God of impossibilities Who loves us like no other,
Giving Himself wholly for us on that cross and in every other way,
Promising to never leave nor forsake us; oh what a Mighty God indeed!
What’s hard for us humans though is to keep striving till we have done all,
Impatience certainly like a gladiator that we must overcome,
The hardest thing of all for our weak carnal self being to wait on God.
Never forget though that He knows our breaking point,
And will not suffer us to be tempted above that which we are able to bear,
When He does finally move all that worry, anxiety and fear suddenly seems so odd.
How do you know, like the bible teaches, when you have truly done all,
It’s simple my friend when there is nothing else you can think to do,
Then with expectation abounding you can look up by faith knowing it’s His turn.
The joy and elation when our Father answers our prayer for His glory,
Empowering us even further to do those things pleasing in His sight,
The fruit of our patience kindling a fire of hope in our soul that doth burn.
Consider the one who hates us and wants us to doubt the word of our God,
And how through our natural senses he presses at times so severe,
Working through those things against us with unreasonable demand.
Realizing, in the end, that God’s Word truly cannot fail,
It’s forever settled in heaven according to the mighty book of Psalms,
So always keep your trust in Him Who never failed those who did and having done all, Stand.
