God give me the strength to keep this flesh under subjection,
Lord bless me and shelter me in your heavenly protection.
Give me meekness to walk before you in all lowliness of mind,
And help me no matter the situation to be kind.
Jesus show me your Word so that I understand,
Give me an unselfish heart to help my fellow man.
God give unto me thy strength and thy righteousness,
And cause me sweet Rose of Sharon for you to be an effective witness.
Guide me O Lord to others who I can help,
To think of others before ever thinking of myself.
My Heavenly Father incline my heart unto you,
Let me walk before you circumspectly and true.
Oh Bright and Morning Star let me decrease and you increase,
And should my lips start to sin against you then cause them to cease.
Thy will be done in me as it is in heaven,
Dear God let me not be infected with the false teacher’s leaven.
And O Prince of Peace if ever the situation may arise,
Let me suffer the cruelest torments before I deny the truth you have set before my eyes.
King of Kings let not pride come nigh my heart,
Bless my lifestyle to reveal your character in every part.
Sweet Holy Ghost fill me and make me whole,
Make me a fruit bearing tree; a winner of many a soul.
Oh my Lord let my every breath and action be for your glory and praise,
Guard my heart Prince of Princes so that from You it never strays.
Finally, O Lord, bless me to be faithful until the end,
And with all thanksgiving say “I made it because God is my best Friend”.
