Hear oh ye saints of the Most High God,
And give ear to the words I am about to speak.
We have gotten away from the pure, unadulterated Word,
And have become carnal minded, indifferent and weak.
We have been lulled to sleep by sweet empty words,
Spoken by soothsaying preachers all over this land.
Promising us pie in the sky prosperity and ease in Zion,
And now we witness the increasing weight of God’s judgmental hand.
And why you ask? Well listen closely and I will tell,
Because when from THE foundation we stray.
That being the pure and only word of God,
There simply is, never has been, nor ever will be any other way.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever,
God by His divine Providence giving us an Authorized Version.
When rightly divided leading us to holiness, righteousness and unworldly ways,
Ever fending off any and every enemy incursion.
Knowing, from John 1:1, that God IS His Word,
And that altering that Word is how the devil tricked man into falling.
As Christians, we should be staunch seekers of THE truth,
Finding any thing less than that evil and appalling.
Because Jesus taught us we shall know THE truth,
And THE truth shall make us free.
He even taught us to take heed how we hear,
To watch and pray diligently.
We do well to remember the warning of Satan being the master deceiver,
And that there is only one strait and narrow path.
That way being completely foreign to our carnal mind,
He warns us in the bible that disobedience brings great wrath.
The sons of the prophets cried out “There is poison in the pot”,
And oh how true that is this very day.
Lulled to sleep by all this easy greasy grace,
Not learning from the past that no Christian ever had an easy way.
The hooves of the four horsemen growing louder every day,
God’s people needing to get back to the only true foundation.
To ‘Awake, Awake’ as His Word so aptly beckons us,
Otherwise, my friend, we are headed for swift and dire tribulation.
